How to Repair and Improve Your Credit

Actions You Can TakeThe next several pages describe actions you can take to help repair and improve your credit rating.

Review Your Credit Report
Start by reviewing a current copy of your credit report. Be sure to get a copy from each of the three major credit-reporting agencies mentioned in Credit Report and Credit Score because credit reports frequently contain errors. If your credit report contains negative or missing information that stems from an error and you have it corrected, your credit score should improve.
