So I have to say, even with all the ups and downs, life has been good to us. I like doing work around the house and adding the touches that make Linda and me feel it is truly our home. Even when we had a big branch fall down on our garage during a storm, it was okay. Our homeowner’s insurance covered the cost of repairs.
I take a lot of pride in being a homeowner, but my true joy comes from providing a safe and secure place for my family. I’ll always remember my son Jordan’s tenth birthday party — we had a big picnic in the backyard. We surprised him with his present, a golden retriever puppy. At that moment we knew this was home and a good place for our children to grow up.
James’ story is not a real-life account and is provided for illustrative purposes only. We hope this scenario emphasizes how using the information available in the H.O.M.E curriculum will help to make you a more informed and educated consumer when it comes time to obtain your home loan. The lender you choose will be able to discuss your specific circumstances and provide you with more detailed information about the home loan options available to you.
